Force Paste: Allow Paste Where Websites Block It
For years Allow Copy + was about getting text out of a page. Version 4.1 works in the other direction. Lots of sites won't let you paste: “confirm your email” fields, bank forms, online tests, coding platforms. You copy a 30-character password from your password manager, press Ctrl+V and nothing happens. Force Paste gets the text in.
How to use Force Paste
- Copy text as usual, from anywhere.
- Click into the field that refuses to take it.
- Right-click and choose “📋 Force Paste”, or press Alt+Shift+V (Control+Shift+V on Mac). You can change the shortcut at chrome://extensions/shortcuts.
Works where a simple unblock doesn't
The usual tricks for turning paste back on help only with old-style forms. Many modern fields and editors still refuse the text.
Force Paste is built to get the text in anyway, and it checks that the text really arrived.
Where it works
You can try it on everyday fields that block paste on the Force Paste page before you actually need it.
- Sign-up and password forms: “confirm email”, “repeat password” and the like.
- Online banking and payments: card, account and IBAN fields.
- Editors on websites and online documents, Google Docs included.
- Coding platforms and online tests.
“Type it” for stubborn fields
Some fields accept only typed text. For those, Force Paste has “⌨ Type it”: the extension types your text into the field for you.
Clipboard access
Chrome asks for clipboard permission once. After that the clipboard is read only at the moment you run Force Paste. The text goes straight into the field and isn't sent anywhere.
Limits
The free version gives you 5 Force Pastes a day. If you paste a lot, you can remove the limit with a lifetime license or a 30-day pass. Both are one-time payments. Copy unlocking itself stays free.
